The Gryphon or Griffin is sometimes mistaken for a dragon,
but is clearly distinguished by its feathered wings and beaked head.
(According to heraldic convention, only female Gryphons have wings.)
A symbol of courage and tenacity, with the forequarters
of an Eagle
and the hind-quarters of a Lion,
said in ancient times to be a guardian of treasure.
This heavy pendant is currently only available in bronze. 48mm.
